Bad Deal

Well, in the news... The Bush administration is reviewing for a 2nd time security risks involved in a proposed business deal with a United Arab Emirates-based company to take over running six U.S. Ports. Included in the deal are shipping terminals in New York, New Jersey, Baltimore, New Orleans, Miami and Philadelphia.
I don't want to speak for anyone else, so I'll speak for myself. I believe this to be a very bad idea. These are our ports, why does Bush think we should give them away. I grew up near Baltimore, and I believe U.S. ports should be controlled by the U.S!! If the ports are out of our control, America would have no idea what is entering or leaving our country. Anything, weapons and drugs for one, could enter the United States without us ever knowing.
Bush is leading this country from bad to worst. We're already one of the most hated countries in the world because of this stupid war, that's wasting tax-payers dollars. I believe that its time to start concentrating on things a little closer to home, like all the poor people on the Gulf Coast that are still without the basic necessities of life SIX MONTHS after hurricane Katrina.

Been Really Busy!!

Sorry! I know I haven't written anything for quite a while, but thats the life of a busy college student. I've had like three papers to write and an exam to study for. It's been really crazy lately, but I promise that I will write an interesting post sometime soon. Prob. not tomorrow though since I have to watch my god-daughter tomorrow morning. Seee ya later!!

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!! I'm not really that big about Valentine's Day, never having a serious boyfriend will do that.
Interesting fact... Did you know that Japanese women most give a "special" treat to their sweethearts and "obligatory chocolates" to male colleaques. The women get nothing in return for this act. Who thinks a man came up with that one? I DO!
Supposedly the women are just fed up with this. I wonder why.

Britteny Spears Baby Scandel

Hey Everyone, I decided to start a blog on topics I found interesting. I'm going to scour the news for interesting tidbits on everything from politics, news stories, and Hollywood gossip, and then give you my opinion on it all.

First tidbit is the Britney Spears baby scandel... Photographers shot a pic of the pop star driving off with her young son in her lap. I was watching Inside Edition the other day and saw a huge story about how Brittney bought a car seat... THERE'S NEWS!!! A mother buying a car seat, they spent five mins. just decribing the carseat. Maybe Britteny would have time to put her baby in that awsome car seat if those photographers has gotten out of her face, if the photographers were soooo worried about the baby's safety, they would give poor Brittney a chance to buckle him in his wonderful car seat. I mean, yes she had the baby on her lap, but what do they want her to do, throw him on the seat next to her so that she can get away from the clicks and flashes... Atleast she held him securely on her lap.
